This post is dedicated to our newest law school grad: Josh!! Last weekend Josh, Deacon and I flew back to Kentucky/Indiana for Josh's law school graduation from U of L. He finished his last semester at UT here in Austin, but we made the trip back so he could walk at graduation with all of his buddies. It was so great to see him walk across the stage to get "hooded" and shake the Dean's hand. He has worked so hard the last 3 years and sacrificed a lot of his time. We're anxious for the end of July after Josh takes the Texas Bar Exam... but for now we're just so excited and proud that he is a law school graduate! Congratulations Josh!
The bonus to our trip was the next day when our dear friends Kirk and Amanda blessed their new baby girl, Lakyn, at church on Sunday. She is such a beautiful baby and we were so excited to meet her and see our Karter again! We got to spend a lot of time with Kirk and Amanda which made us remember how sad we are without them in Texas. We love you guys and thanks again for waiting for us!

Deacon anxious to leave for Louisville

While in Louisville, we went to the zoo and Deacon immediately noticed the Spongebob poster.

I think this gorilla has gotten a little to comfortable with cameras.

Our hotel was right down the street from "Fourth Street Live" where they have a lot of great restaurants and live music. We grabbed an early dinner there one night and posed outside of the Hard Rock guitar.

Deacon loved this bronze dog right outside our hotel room.

At the actual ceremony.

The lake in the center of our old neighborhood. We hung out there with Kirk, Amanda and our kids. That's Karter fishin' in the background. He even caught one!

Deacon couldn't decide whether to feed the fish the bread crumbs or to eat them himself so he did a little of both.

Karter let Deacon take a ride on his awesome John Deere tractor.

Karter and Deacon playing in the fridge. Karter was practicing his big brother skills and gave Deacon a sweet kiss on the forehead.

Josh still hasn't figured out where those room service charges came from.

I'm sure that is a huge relief to be done with school - that is great! I'm sure everything will go well studying for the bar. That is very exciting! So - are you staying in Texas then? Deacon's eyes are to die for - so precious!
